The praise children receive can have a big impact on the messages they internalise about talent, abilities success and effort. We can encourage resilience by focusing on the process ('You kept trying') rather than just the outcome ('You've done it perfectly.') This does take a bit of practise, so below is my collection of effort/process-based prompts to get you started:
